Biography

Becky Kanis Margiotta is the Co-Founder and President of The Billions Institute, an organization committed to unleashing billions of people to solve the world’s biggest problems in the next 20 years. Previously, Becky led the 100,000 Homes Campaign, an extraordinary large-scale change effort that mobilized 186 cities to house 105,000 homeless people in just under 4 years. Becky also served as a Captain in the United States Army where she became qualified as a Human Intelligence Operative and commanded two Special Operations companies. She graduated from West Point and holds a Masters Degree from The New School. Becky’s awards include the White House “Champion of Change” award, the Schwab Foundation “Social Entrepreneur of the Year” award, and the National Conference on Citizenship’s “HOOAH” award.
