Tamika Tremaglio is an accomplished finance professional with a distinguished career spanning various leadership roles. For over 30 years, she has been instrumental in driving success and growth in professional services in the areas of strategy development, operations management, risk management, talent development, forensic accounting, and regulatory compliance.
Most recently, Tamika served as the Executive Director of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) and held the positions of Board Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Think450, the NBPA's commercial arm.
During her tenure, Tamika developed and executed a strategic vision that enabled the organization to successfully deliver the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) in July of 2023, resulting in a staggering $250 million increase in salaries and benefits for players in the next season and an estimated $50 billion over the seven-year term. Notably, she also secured a groundbreaking provision that would permit the NBPA to invest in NBA teams through private equity funds, paving the way for the creation of generational wealth for Players for decades to come.
Prior to her role with the NBPA Tamika spent 12 years at Deloitte LLP. In her last role at Deloitte, she served as the Managing Principal for the Greater Washington area, where she oversaw 23 offices and over 15,000 professionals, with an increase in revenue during her tenure of 4 years from $1.2 billion to revenue in excess of $3 billion – this was the firm’s largest region in the country. She also served as the Lead Client Service Partner for Hilton Worldwide with a focus primarily on internal audit and regulatory compliance.
Known for her adeptness in establishing robust corporate governance practices, Tamika's leadership ensured compliance with regulatory and financial frameworks and implemented impactful compliance programs at global companies such as Exxon Mobil, Olympus, Embraer and Johnson & Johnson, among others. Tamika’s professional finance and accounting experience, includes leading large, high-profile global and domestic corporate investigations, matters involving collective bargaining agreements, modeling player licensing, and earnings distributions, strategy development, operations management, talent development, compensation, corporate governance, corporate citizenship initiatives, franchise disputes, board compliance, and real estate matters.
