Actor and writer Brandon Kyle Goodman has emerged in the entertainment industry as a powerful force with a voice to be reckoned with. As an actor, Goodman is known for Netflix’s Feel the Beat, Amazon’s Modern Love and People Just Do Nothing, Alive in Denver, The Blackout, The Relationtrip, Hulu’s Plus One, and Blue Fox’s Papi Chulo, among others. As a writer, Goodman’s work is showcased in the acclaimed Netflix animated series Big Mouth and its spin-off series Human Resources. Goodman is also the creator, writer, and star of their solo show The Latrell Show, performed virtually in partnership with the IAMA Theatre Company. Goodman is proud to be a nonbinary, queer Black leader and a staunch advocate for Black lives, and is a sought after voice in the vital conversations shaping our world today.

Goodman continues conversations and meaningful action on behalf of Black lives through their podcasts: Black Folx, which features Black personalities of various identities, and Do the Work, discussing all things race and personal relationships. He will also co-host the upcoming podcast series accompanying HBO’s In Treatment, discussing mental health representation in communities of color. Goodman's first book You Gotta Be You explores the intersections of their race, sexuality, and gender, and was Audible's Best of the Year in Well-Being. In their writing as well as in memorable keynote speeches, Goodman shares insights on nuanced topics with humor and authenticity that will resonate with audiences of all kinds.

Event Success Story: Brandon Kyle Goodman inspires at the Independent Schools Conference

Actor and writer BRANDON KYLE GOODMAN empowered school faculty at the Francis W. Parker School’s Administrators of Color in Independent Schools Conference. They created a warm, open atmosphere by inviting attendees to create space. Francis W. Parker School’s event planner said, “Everything was fantastic with Brandon! We loved having them on campus.”

Goodman spoke on healing and setting boundaries, providing conference-goers with important tools to take away. The Francis W. Parker School’s Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Erika Prahl said, “According to Brandon, being resilient is a means for survival, and they encouraged attendees to move into a space of healing to allow us the opportunity to thrive and not survive.”

Biography

Actor, Writer, and Activist are words often attributed to Brandon Kyle Goodman. In 2020, they emerged as a voice for the Black and Queer communities, best summed up in Revolt TV’s piece 7 Reasons Why Brandon Kyle Goodman is Comedy’s Next Big Name.

Brandon served as a writer and producer on Netflix's Big Mouth for multiple seasons. Goodman also wrote and voiced the lead character Walter for the spin-off series Human Resources. As an actor, he has previously appeared in Amazon's Modern Love, Netflix's feature film Feel the Beat, a cameo in Curb Your Enthusiasm, and most recently as Clay in Mel Brooks' Hulu series History of the World Part II.

Brandon's Messy Mondays on Instagram, about sex and relationships, has a cult-like following, which they have curated into a successful merchandising line with Avid Apparel. There are plans for a Messy Mondays podcast and talk show. Partnered with Fifth Season, he is developing an original scripted project for which they will showrun and star.

Goodman hosted Sony’s Do The Work podcast and HBO’s In Treatment companion podcast of the same name. Brand partnerships range from Ciroc, Prada, and Alicia Keys' Soulcare, among others.
