Emeril Lagasse is changing the world one plate at a time
Chef, television personality, and bestselling author EMERIL LAGASSE not only runs 9 restaurants but also provides opportunities for others to step into his culinary boots. Lagasse established the Emeril Lagasse Foundation to support children’s educational programs that inspire and mentor young people through culinary arts, school food and nutrition, and important life skills programs. The Foundation has created an accessible learning kitchen at St. Michael Special School, a culinary learning center for at-risk youth at Café Reconcile, and the Emeril Lagasse Foundation Culinary Arts Studio, a four-year youth culinary arts program with educational grants for students from underrepresented backgrounds. Vie Magazine said the Foundation’s work “has quietly impacted the lives of thousands of the South’s most vulnerable children.”

Emeril Lagasse is the chef/proprietor of 8 restaurants, including three in New Orleans (Emeril’s, Meril, and Emeril’s Table at the MSY Airport); two in Las Vegas (Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House and Delmonico Steakhouse); one in Miramar Beach, Florida (Emeril’s Coastal); and his most recent and his first restaurants at sea, Emeril’s Bistro 1396 on Carnival Cruise Line’s Mardi Gras and Emeril’s Bistro 1397 on Carnival Cruise Line’s Celebration.
