Emma Grede is a British businesswoman, serial entrepreneur, and philanthropist. She is the Co-Founder & CEO of Good American, Founding Partner of SKIM,S and Chairwoman of The Fifteen Percent Pledge. Emma is named as one of America’s Richest Self-Made Women by Forbes (2022-2024) and America’s Richest Self-Made Women Under 40 by Forbes (2022). In October 2016, Emma launched Good American. What started out as the largest denim launch in history, Good American is now an iconic B-Corp certified brand, has been named as one of Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Companies,” and has been largely credited with propelling the narrative for inclusivity throughout the fashion industry.
Emma went on to Co-Found SKIMS, a solutions-oriented brand creating the next generation of underwear, loungewear and shapewear, valued at $4B and named as one of TIME’s “100 Most Influential Companies.” In 2025, Emma teamed up with fashion designer Kristin Juszczyk, along with the National Football League and Fanatics to launch a sports apparel brand called Off Season. Emma is an investor in countless businesses with a strong focus on consumer brands founded by women.
On television, Emma is a reoccurring guest Shark on ABC’s hit series, Shark Tank, and has also made appearances as a Dragon on the BBC series Dragon’s Den. In March 2024, the first season of her Roku series, Side Hustlers, premiered as the #1 on-demand title on The Roku Channel, followed by season two in August 2024; also at #1. Grede co-hosts the show alongside Ashley Graham, where they help female entrepreneurs turn their side hustles into full-time careers
Emma serves on the board of the Obama Foundation and is Chairwoman of The Fifteen Percent Pledge, a non-profit organization that encourages retailers to dedicate at least 15 percent of their shelf-space to Black-owned businesses. Emma is also a board member of Baby2Baby, a nonprofit that provides children living in poverty across the country with diapers, clothing and basic necessities that every child deserves.
Born and raised in London, Emma currently lives in Los Angeles and is married to Swedish entrepreneur Jens Grede. Together they have four children.
