Ramos is the author of Finding Latinx: In Search of the Voices Redefining Latino Identity and Defectors, assiduously reported explorations of the political and ideological experiences of Latinx Americans. Ramos is a Hauser Leader in the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School, where she received her Masters in Public Policy, and recently joined her alma mater Barnard College’s Board of Trustees. Author, Emmy-winning journalist, and Latinx advocate PAOLA RAMOS‘ critically acclaimed cross-country travelogue, Finding Latinx, embarks on a journey to find the communities of people defining the controversial term “Latinx.” Drawing on intensive field research as well as her own personal story, Ramos chronicles how “Latinx” has given rise to a sense of collectivity and solidarity among Latinos unseen in this country for decades. Paola Ramos delights at Planned Parenthood, receives rave review

Author, Emmy-winning journalist, and Latinx advocate PAOLA RAMOS ignited audiences at Planned Parenthood South Texas’ Annual Valley Brunch. Sharing her thoughts on mobilizing the political, social, and cultural power of young Latinx people to create a more just and equitable country, Ramos shared her perspective on the ability to create the future one imagines for themselves. Planned Parenthood’s event planner said, “WOW! Every social justice organization, every Planned Parenthood, should have Paola Ramos. Biography

Paola Ramos is an author and Emmy-Award winning journalist. She is a contributor for Telemundo News and MSNBC, where she is the host of “Field Report.” Ramos is a former Correspondent for Vice News. Her reporting has taken her from embedding with migrants in the Darien Jungle to interviewing cartel members in the US-Mexico border to deeply exploring Latinos’ shifting political identity across the nation. Prior to her career in journalism, Ramos was the Deputy Director of Hispanic Media for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, a political appointee during the Obama Administration, and served in President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign. 

Ramos is the author of an upcoming book “Defectors: The Rise of the Latino Far Right,” which will be published by Penguin Random House this Fall, ahead of the 2024 presidential elections. She is also the author of “Finding Latin-X: In Search of the Voices Redefining Latino Identity.”

She is a former Hauser Leader in the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School, where she received her Master’s in Public Policy, and recently joined the board of trustees of her alma mater, Barnard College.  Ramos was born in Miami to Cuban and Mexican parents, grew up in Madrid, and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
