Former NFL linebacker and President of Sky Limit Crane & Rigging Sam Barrington has pivoted from a notable career as a professional athlete to developing a business portfolio that is grabbing headlines. Sam was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2014, where he made a major impact on and off the field. He was named the NFL Players Association Community MVP for his commitment to giving back to his community. He also played for the Kansas City Chiefs, the New Orleans Saints, and the Buffalo Bills. After a career-ending injury, Sam pivoted to business, and has amassed a growing portfolio that includes Sky Limit Crane & Rigging which specializes in heavy machinery, specifically mobile cranes, as reported by Forbes. As Sam told Forbes, he strives to create a business culture where people can thrive and control their own destiny.

Barrington recently joined the University of South Florida Foundation Board of Directors, his alma mater. He brings a unique perspective, having played college football at USF, and returning as a business and community leader. In addition to serving on the board, Sam also leverages his professional football experience as an analyst for the Vinik Sports Group, providing color commentary for USF. Barrington was the Packers nominee for the 2015 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, and has received the President’s Volunteer Service Award, Pop Warner’s annual humanitarian award, as well as the USF Alumni Association Outstanding Young Alumni Award in 2021. He was also named the 2022 Onyx Magazine Man of the Year. Biography

Sam Barrington is a former NFL linebacker. He played college football at University of South Florida and was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 2014 NFL Draft. Barrington also played for the Kansas City Chiefs, New Orleans Saints, and Buffalo Bills. He was the Packers nominee for the 2015 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year and a recipient of the USF Alumni Association Outstanding Young Alumni Award in 2021.

Sam is currently the President of Sky Limit Crane & Rigging. In addition to his professional career in equipment rental and commercial and residential construction, Barrington is the color commentator for University of South Florida.
