Olympic Track and Field athlete SYDNEY MCLAUGHLIN-LEVRONE is known for being an inspiring role model since giving a notable and headline-making speech about overcoming obstacles to become one of the top young track and field athletes in America. As the youngest U.S. Olympian to compete in track and field since 1972, McLaughlin-Levrone set a junior world record in the 400m hurdles at the 2016 U.S. Olympic team trials and has been consistently beating her own records since.

The youngest U.S. Olympian to compete in track and field since 1972, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone set a junior world record in the 400m hurdles at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. She also won the silver medal at the 2019 World Championships in the 400m hurdles, and is the current NCAA record-holder in the 400m hurdles. She broke her own World Record in the women's 400 meter hurdles to win the gold in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Named the Gatorade National Girls Athlete of the Year, two years in a row, McLaughlin gave a moving—and headline-making—speech about how she overcame obstacles to become one of the top young track and field athletes in America.
Having left the University of Kentucky to pursue a professional career, McLaughlin-Levrone is also a face of New Balance.
